Basic Golf 101

Welcome to "Golf Basics"

This web-blog module aims to introduce the Golf basic in which a player, using types of clubs including a driver, a putter, and irons to hit a ball.



1. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not use a standardized playing area; rather, the game is played on golf "courses", each one of which has a unique design and typically consists of either 9 or 18 holes (refer to the following slides).

2. There are baisc essential golfing equipment; such as clubs, balls and shoes (refer to the following slides).





3. The rules of golf are internationally standardised and are jointly governed by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the United States Golf Association - or USGA (refer to the following URL).
